Swim Center Update Lap Swim Reservation - 8/18/20

Due to the overwhelming interest in lap swim the following changes have been made:

-Reservations are required for lap swimming. Reservations can be made online up to 3 days in advance starting at 7 a.m. Phone reservations can be made on the same day only starting at 10:30 a.m and Saturdays at 8:45 am. Only 2 lanes will be open for phone in/same day reservations.

-Drop ins are strongly discouraged, any available drop in lanes will be released 15 minutes after the reservation start time if the person reserving the lane is a no show. This would result in a maximum of 30 min of swim time for any drop in customers.

-Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance in person, over the phone or via email. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will still be charged for a swim.

Please note, City Programming has started this week at the Swim Center and lap lanes are greatly reduced after 3 p.m. Tuesday – Friday. Programming will continue to expand over the coming weeks as the phased reopening of the Swim Center continues.

Thank you,
Santa Monica Community Aquatics Staff

Swim Center Reservation Update - 7/21/20

Hello Swimmers,

We hope you are all staying safe and healthy. We have received a large amount of questions regarding reservations and we want to address these questions now in hopes of making the reservation process smoother once the Swim Center is open.

All swimmers will need a current and active swim pass to make a reservation. All reservations will also need account to make a reservation – if you have a swim pass you already have an account ,please do not create another account. To access your account you will need the email address you used to purchase your swim pass. Please enter this email address and then select “Forgot Password” and follow the prompts- this will then register the current pass you already have and connect it with your account.

If you know you have a swim pass with us but do not know what email you used please DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT, please email Aquatics.mailbox@smgov.net . It will help us assist you quicker if you can provide us with the account holder name and activity passport/swim pass number. If you do not have your activity passport, just email us with your first/last name and DOB. We can then check your account and give you as much information for your account as possible, including resetting your password.

Again, if you already have a swim pass, or have ever held a swim pass or registered for a program with the City, please DO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT. Please email us directly for assistance, we are checking emails daily and will respond within 1 business day.

Thank you for patience and understanding,

Santa Monica Swim Center

Swim Center Update 6.15.20

The Santa Monica Swim Center is not yet open. Santa Monica is currently planning for reopening, including cleaning and social distancing protocols. We will announce re-opening dates to the public as soon as possible.

Pool availability will be extremely limited after reopening. This is because of new Public Health required social distancing requirements to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are required to severely limit the number of persons in the pool. We will provide more details on program modifications as soon as we are able. We appreciate your patience during this challenging time.

Swim Center Update

Thank you all for your patience and understanding while the Swim Center is closed. While we are all excited to see our swimmers back in the water, we have a responsibility to ensure a safe return to the pool. We need to be creative and flexible as we re-imagine what that looks like for the Santa Monica Swim Center. This framework will be based on the best information available to begin doing that. Although the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Department may soon announce the re-openings of pools, we will need time to ensure all safety measures are in place before welcoming back staff and swimmers. We will work hard to ensure all requirements and guidelines as outlined by the County are strictly adhered to. When we are ready to announce a re-opening date we will post it here on our website as well as our Facebook page. Again, we truly appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure a safe return to the Swim Center.
