Beginning July 1, 2019
The City of Santa Monica will discontinue aquatic programming at the Lincoln Middle School Pool.
Lincoln Pool patrons are invited to visit the Santa Monica Swim Center (2225 16th Street).
All recreation and lap swim passes are valid at the Swim Center. santamonicaswimcenter.org/drop-in

The Swim Center will be open Thursday, July 4th from 10:00am – 6:00pm for 4th of July Holiday.
Diving boards and Rec Swim open all day. Lap swim available in both pools.

Special Event Parking Notification: Santa Monica College Celebrate America Fireworks show will be held on Saturday June 29th. Due to this event, parking Structure 3 will be closed all day and there will be a $5.00 fee to park in Structure 4 starting at 3:00pm. Other options for parking include 16th Street, Pico Blvd., Pearl Street, and Lot 6 at 14th Street and Pico Blvd.

This event will be held at the Santa Monica Swim Center 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM & 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM and the Annenberg Community Beach House at 9:00 AM-10:00 AM on Thursday June 20, 2019. 
The World's Largest Swimming Lesson is a promotional event designed to build awareness and generate local and national press attention about the vital importance of teaching kids to swim to help prevent drowning.

Beginning Saturday, June 8th weekend hours will be extended and we will close at 7 p.m. 

New Saturday Hours: Lap Swimming 6 a.m. - 7 p.m.  | Recreational Swimming 10 a.m. - 7 p.m

New Sunday Hours: Lap Swimming 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. |   Recreational Swimming 10 a.m. - 7 p.m

The Santa Monica Swim Center will be open Memorial Day Monday May 27th from 5:30am-8:00am and 1:00pm-8:30pm for lap swim and rec swim hours are from 3:00pm-7:00pm.

Did you know May is National Water Safety Month? On Monday May 13th and Tuesday May 14th from 3 – 6:15 p.m. we will have LA County Ocean Lifeguards at the Swim Center providing free sidewalk CPR demos for parents and children. We will also be giving out information regarding CPR, water safety tips and much more! Make sure to join us for this free event!

Sharks Swim Meet will take place on Sunday, May 5th at 12:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. Fitness pool will have limited lap lanes. There will be no recreational swimming in the Fitness Pool  or diving boards during this time.

Fitness Pool Limited Lap swim Lanes Sunday March 24 from 12:30pm - 4:00pm. Diving boards closed 12:00pm - 4:00pm.

The Swim Center will be closed Monday January 21, 2019 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The Swim Center will reopen Monday, January 7, 2019 at 5:30 a.m

The Santa Monica Swim Center close for maintenance and repairs beginning Monday, December 17, 2018 and will re-open Monday, January 7, 2019. Lincoln Pool remains open for lap swim from Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday 5:30am-7am and Saturday & Sunday 6:00pm-8:00pm.

Thank you for your patience as we worked this out! As always, we work to keep the closure time to a minimum each year. Here are the details of the repairs and maintenance that need to be completed this year: 

The Chemical and Pump Room

• Perform annual maintenance on boilers which includes clean out burners through HVAC city personnel.

• ·Replace the backwash solenoid to the Splash Pool. This are the solenoids that control the backwash valves for the 2-tank filter system.

• ·Repair the leak on the sand filter for the Splash Pool downstairs in the pump room that has been leaking since February.

• · Have the electrical panel rewired and relocated for the chlorine and acid pumps for both pools in the chemical rooms. Tagging and relabeling all wires and connections to new location (Huge Project).

• · The electricians to change the transformer caps from 195 – 208 on the electrical panel for the chemical feeding pumps in the pump room for both pools.

• · Preventative maintenance on all pool pumps and equipment. This involves thorough inspection of all pumps, boilers and filters and replacing valves, gaskets where needed and completing repairs.  

Pool Deck and Locker Rooms 

• ·Hydro Jet all deck drains to clean them out and remove debris that is blocking some of the drains. 

• · Replace broken tile around each pool. There are several that we have had to temporarily fix throughout the year to eliminate sharp edges.

• ·Access and fix the leaking gutter collection boxes on Splash Pool Deck. The first one is located outside the Men Staff Locker Room and the second one is located above the Splash Lockers.

• ·Have electricians continue to change out the rest of the perimeter lights around the facility to LEDs. This includes the pendent lights in the front entrance walkway.

• ·Repainting of both diving board ladders and stands.

• ·Have contractors fix the five lights that are coming out of the niches. This includes having scuba gear personnel reinstall and repair the niche.

 Thank you for your understanding in the need to complete these repairs. This is a major contributing factor in keeping the facility in top notch condition!
