Afternoon and Evening Swimming:
Afternoon lap lanes are limited Monday - Friday between 3:00-6:00 PM for youth
focused programming. Reservations strongly encouraged.

The Splash Pool and deck showers will be closed for planned maintenance January 28–30 due to circulation pump repairs and deck resurfacing work. The Splash Pool is expected to reopen on Saturday, January 31, 2026. All other Swim Center amenities remain open.

December 15, 2025 – January 4, 2026

The Santa Monica Swim Center will undergo its Annual Preventative Maintenance Closure from Monday, December 15, 2025, through Sunday, January 4, 2026.

This year, we are planning extensive repairs on the Fitness Pool Deck, including replacement of the pool grates and concrete reinforcement as part of our winter maintenance. While we anticipate adhering to the scheduled reopening date, unforeseen issues may arise once repairs are underway. In the event that additional work is required, the closure period may be extended.

For the most up-to-date information on the closure timeline and project status, we encourage all patrons to visit the Santa Monica Swim Center website, where updates will be posted throughout the maintenance period.

During the closure, lap swimming will be available at the Santa Monica High School Pool from Saturday, December 20, 2025, through Sunday, January 4, 2026.

The Santa Monica Swim Center will participate in the Great California Shakeout on Thursday October 16th at 10:16am. All activities will be interrupted. Patrons are invited to participate or leave the facility.
